Dr. Wendi M Schirvar, Ph.D., is a licensed School Psychologist who specializes in developmental assessments of students (ages Birth-18) with a particular emphasis on the needs of gifted students and their families.
With a background in Child Development, Attachment theory and Parent Education, and Educational Psychology, she brings an eclectic blend of theory and practice to her work assisting families with parenting issues (in particular redirecting difficult behaviors), testing, school advocacy, educational planning and family goal setting.
Her philosophy is grounded in the premise that all families have strengths, apparent or yet to be discovered, and her “work” is to empower and support families to realize and maximize their strengths together.
In addition, she is the proud mother of three children, enjoys the outdoors-especially biking and hiking the beautiful St. Croix River Area, competes in triathlons and is always on the lookout for the next adventure.
